In 1977 my family immigrated to Canada from Jamaica to start a new life.
I was one of them, the 3rd youngest and the most precocious– Leslie A. Slowley Jr
“In order to harness my exuberance” my mother who was a ceramists had me by her side while she maintained her workshop, were she trained me. As a child I was enrolled into Calligraphy class. Further in my art the 3 “R”s became a part of my presentation. RECYCLE, REDUSE and REUSE.
“Every day as I prepare to go into the world I put on my face” I do it to get attention as a catalyst for my single minded messages- performance art.
I have along the way document my self portrait – bicycle, fitness
as I continue to foster , cultivate and grow.
